RSS - Really Simple Syndication

What is RSS?

RSS or Really Simple Syndication is a way to collect and monitor regular updates to web-based content. Many websites, blogs and other online publishers syndicate their content as a RSS feed to whoever wants it. See below for more information.

At present, WCC offers one RSS feed per language, with all the news:

  News in English

  Nachrichten auf Deutsch

  Nouvelles en français

  Noticias en español

Using RSS, web publishers provide updates to a feed, such as the latest WCC headlines or featured articles. You can include RSS feeds in your website or in a feed reader to stay up-to-date on the latest changes to your favorite websites.

By checking your website or your feed reader, you will be able to instantly learn what is new on your favorite websites. In other words, the news comes to you rather than you having to go to the news. Normally, RSS feeds contain article headlines and/or summaries and links back to the full-text articles on the web.

How does RSS work?

Every time we update one of the websites that we syndicate, we will update a special page called a "feed." This information will automatically update your website or feed reader with the new information. You will be able to follow the link to read the newest information.

Get free, fresh content for your website the easy way!

Once the free RSS feed is included in your webpage, you don't have to do a thing and your webpage will offer your viewers up-to-date news from WCC. As a result of the RSS feed, traffic to your site will increase as visitors come back often for updated content.
