    The WCC will hold an international consultation on the rights of stateless people. The event will take place in Washington, D.C., and address the concerns of nearly 12 million stateless people around the world, who are not considered a national by any state.

    WCC officials meet with United Nations deputy secretary-general

    The WCC general secretary Olav Fykse Tveit and other members of the WCC staff met in New York on 12 February with the UN deputy secretary-general Jan Eliasson. Tveit and Eliasson discussed the many conflicts and divisions around the world, including North and South Korea, the Middle East region, particularly Syria and Israel-Palestine.

    A flash mob erupted today in the cafeteria of the Ecumenical Centre in Geneva, Switzerland. At 12:30 pm people scattered throughout the lunch crowd suddenly left their tables and broke into dance.

    Transforming lives affected by HIV and AIDS
