Ecumenical continuing formation

The WCC project on ecumenical continuing formation provides leadership training including accredited short term courses as well as seminars, research groups and resource development. These take place either at the Bossey Ecumenical Institute or at the regional level in various parts of the world.

Continuing formation programmes for professionals are gaining more and more importance today in response to rapidly changing contexts.

The WCC project on ecumenical continuing formation provides leadership training including accredited short term courses as well as seminars, research groups and resource development. These take place either at the Bossey Ecumenical Institute or at the regional level in various parts of the world.

The safe spaces created in these courses and groups allow professionals from member churches, ecumenical partners and international organizations, and others who wish to develop their expertise to address burning topics for the ecumenical movement in a multi-religious world. As contributions to the Pilgrimage of Justice and Peace, the activities build awareness for the ecumenical implications of societal and ecclesial changes.

All activities are organized in cooperation with WCC member churches and / or ecumenical partners as well as civil society actors, international organizations and different WCC teams.

As they receive their post-graduate degrees in ecumenical studies, they look back fondly on their sense of community, professors—and even the food.
